Bear Confidential Mail

A secure message service of Bear River Health

Bear River Health uses Bear Confidential Mail to send messages that contain protected health information or other confidential records. Instead of travelling through ordinary email, these messages are kept in a secure mailbox on Bear River Health's own systems. You read them here, in your web browser, after signing in.

Why did I get an email about a confidential message?

A member of Bear River Health staff sent you a message that is protected under federal privacy law, including 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA. To protect the information, you receive only a notification by email. The message itself stays here until you sign in.

First time here?

  1. Open the link in the notification email you received. It is personal to you, valid for 7 days and can be used once.
  2. Choose a password for your secure mailbox.
  3. Sign in with your full email address and that password. Your message is waiting in the inbox.

If your link has expired or was already used, please contact Bear River Health IT (see below) and we will send you a new one.

Already set up?

Use the sign-in page. If you forgot your password, choose Forgot your password? on the sign-in page and a reset link is sent to your email address.

Replying

You can reply to Bear River Health directly from your secure mailbox; your reply stays protected. Replies are accepted only to Bear River Health. Please do not reply to the notification email itself, as that address is not monitored.
